"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."
Proverbs 13:12
Founded in 2008, The Mulberry Tree Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501-(c) 3 foundation serving the unmet needs of elderly and adult disabled Floridians.
Through community support, we provide goods and services in order to improve the quality of life and longevity of those most forgotten in today's society.
The Mulberry Tree Foundation, Inc. assists with the following benevolent goods and services, but is not limited to:
"We are committed to respectfully serve the frail, elderly & disabled through goods and services in order to maintain their
Health, Hope, & Happiness."
Integrity The foundation is honest and fair in our
relationships with clients, donors & the
public
Quality We strive to provide the best services,
products & operation
Stewardship We use our resources wisely with concern to
the public and surrounding Martin County
environment
The foundation assits individuals who
are considered to be low income, elderly (65+) and adult disabled individuals. Many of our clients are struggling to afford medical supplies or need assistance accessing health care information and available community resources.
Elderly and disabled individuals often lack the financial resources essential to purchase the medical supplies and other medical necessities they need to live comfortably and safely. Our program provides free medical supplies to qualified Martin County individuals who would otherwise do without. To inquiry about receiving assistance, please download the application / referral form or contact the foundation.

In January 2010, the foundation significantly impacted a quadriplegic’s life. Mike was suffering financially to afford medical care supplies to assist his disability. Unable to meet the expense of an electric chair, Mike was bound to his bedroom & incapable of enjoying life outside his home. The Foundation donated a Quikie P300 Electric Chair to assist Mike in his mobility. Mike has stated he now checks his mailbox himself & goes on nightly strolls through his neighborhood. The little things in life are what keep this individual health, happy & hopeful.
Shanetta, mother of a 19 year old young woman, was referred to the foundation by a case manager in Belle Glade, Fl. Shanettas’ pregnant daughter was a victim of a gunshot wound injury to the head. The daughter was on a waiting list for coverage through a government assisted program and had no insurance. Given the immediacy of the situation, the foundation donated a used hospital bed to the family to assist the currently disabled individual and allow the mother to care for her daughter at home while waiting for support. Through our donation, Shanetta’s daughter was able to improve her health and hope during her tragic injury and survived her gunshot wound as well as her unborn child.
On November 4, 2010, the foundation donated 6 cases of Nepro to a Dietician at North Palm Beach Dialysis Center. 6 clients recieved a case each. Nepro is not covered by insurance for patients on Dialysis. Nepro provides nutrients to patients on Dialysis to improve energy and form substances needed for normal body functions.

Many of our clients are disadvantaged physically and financially. Their unique challenges create unsafe and unappealing conditions in regards to the exterior of their residence. Completed by community volunteers, HHH restores the homes of these individuals as well as their health, hope and happiness.
Providing these types of services not only gives the residential owners pride in their homes and hearts, but helps restore the community one house at time.
Hands Helping Homes is designed to paint the exterior of a qualifying home, landscape the surrounding front yard, & provide any minor repairs the foundation can offer.

Success Story
On September 4, 2010, 86 year-old Lorraine Arrance received the first Hands Helping Homes project to
beautify her permanent mobile home.
17 volunteers worked from 7am to 4pm restoring the residence with a new gravel driveway, mailbox, wood fence posts, and a fresh coat of paint; just a few of the many improvements. Special thanks to Gulfstream Business Bank who sponsored the event and Ace Hardware of Stuart/Jensen Beach who donated the painting supplies.
